About Us
ProPoint Accountants & Advisors was born from the shared vision of Bongani Zambukere and his Mentor Hunter Motsumi in 2014. They recognized a crucial need to empower entrepreneurs by helping them unravel the mysteries behind their business numbers, enabling them to make informed decisions. What started as an idea blossomed into reality when Bongani became a qualified professional accountant, and the business was officially incorporated.
Bongani's experience working in an audit-focused firm further validated the existing gap in the market. This realization served as the catalyst for Bongani's vision to establish an accounting firm that will also offer services beyond compliance. He witnessed firsthand that entrepreneurs needed more than just compliance support. They needed a partner who could provide comprehensive financial guidance to navigate the complexities of running a business.
After managing renowned artists, Hunter also came to a realization - many small to medium-sized businesses were not harnessing the expertise of accountants to guide them through compliance, tax matters, and financial reporting. This eye-opening experience fueled his determination to encourage entrepreneurs to prioritize accounting and compliance reporting. This led him to be featured on local radio stations in the Vaal, amplifying the importance of having an accountant, and also advised on personal finance.
With his background as a Business Analyst and a unique combination of qualifications, including a B Tech in Chemical Engineering, BCom in Marketing Management, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), he brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Hunter's educational journey exemplifies his unwavering commitment to continuous learning and his ability to think analytically across various disciplines.
